Setting up Mews
Setting up the Mews integration
Connecting Mews is an admin task. You do it once per property: connect the account, pull your Mews data into Centro, choose which reservations to sync, then map your Mews rooms to Centro locations. After that the integration runs on its own — see How syncing works.
You'll need an Access Token for your Mews property, generated in Mews from the Centro integration. The Connector credentials that let Centro talk to Mews are set up by the Centro team as part of onboarding.
1. Connect your Mews property
Go to General Settings → Third Party Integrations and select Mews. Enter the Access Token for your Mews property, then choose the property (enterprise) and the language Centro should use for Mews names. Centro validates the connection and shows it as connected.
2. Sync your Mews data
With the property connected, pull your reference data from Mews so Centro has something to map:
- Rooms (resources)
- Room categories (resource categories)
- Age categories — used to split a reservation's guests into adults and children
- Reservations
3. Choose which services sync
Centro lists the services from your Mews property. Enable the ones whose reservations you want in Centro — typically your accommodation service. Reservations under a service that isn't enabled are ignored.
4. Map rooms to Centro locations
Link each Mews room, or room category, to the Centro location and stay type it corresponds to. This mapping is what lets Centro place each synced reservation in the right room and stay type, so guest check-in, keys and the Centro app all point at the correct location.
Once your rooms are mapped, no further action is needed per booking. New and changed reservations sync automatically — see How syncing works.
