In this Centro Administrators video, Jerry walks you through linking a custom message type to a plugin—so guests can trigger real-time requests directly from your app or interface.

So we created and customized a new message type in our last video.
Now it's time to link it to a plugin.
we'll link this message type to a plugin so guests can
request directly from the app.
Go to account and integrations, and choose the plugin.
You want to edit.
In this case we'll use housekeeping request, click settings, then go to
message bus, select message type.
Using the message type picker, select the message type to link.
This will create an instant message when the button in the plugin is pressed.
Testing the new message type.
Make sure the housekeeping request button is also connected to this plugin.
To confirm, go to the UI layout under customization.
Select the relevant layout, and click edit.
Expand the relevant section, find the core toggle plugin or button.
Then click edit, and confirm the selection . Now the button is live on your layout.
Let's see it in action.
Go to objects, locations, select the relevant location , and
open the location layout tab.
Click the preview link to see how it looks.
Tap the housekeeping button to send a quick message like Please make up my room.
Now go back to the messaging dashboard.
You'll see your message appear instantly tagged as a housekeeping request
with the icon and color you selected.
Staff can reply right from the dashboard, keeping communication fast and seamless.
