Before you start

Gather these before you go to site. Nothing on this page is done in Centro System Manager for Crestron.

What you need

  • A CP4 processor with a free program slot, on the same network as the local processors.
  • A fixed IP address for the processor: a static address or a DHCP reservation.
  • Authentication turned on at the processor, with at least one administrator account. You sign in to Centro System Manager for Crestron with the processor's own accounts.
  • The processor's clock set right: its time zone set to the site's, and its time server (SNTP) turned on.
  • A browser on a computer that can reach the processor. The program is loaded from the processor's own web pages.
  • The program file, the .cpz, from the Centro System Manager for Crestron downloads page — the Download button on the Centro System Manager for Crestron pages at centro.network opens it.
  • A Crestron Home system that controls the locations, on the same network, and a Crestron administrator's username and password for its processor.
  • A computer on the site's network with a current browser. Staff open Centro System Manager for Crestron on port 8443 by default.
  • Internet access for the processor, if the site allows it. It's used to activate licence keys online and, to start with, to send the processor's logs to LCD to help support. Neither is needed for the site to run: a key can be activated with a licence file, and a site that forbids outbound traffic turns off Send logs to Centro under Settings → Settings → Logs.

You should now have everything on this list. Next: Load the program.
