Setup
Settings → Deployment → Setup is the checklist for getting a site ready. Its heading is Set up this processor.
It has six steps, in order: the licence, the network and certificate, the Crestron groups, the locations, email and a backup. Everything works throughout, and your place is remembered if you close the browser. The licence, email and backup steps can be skipped. The locations step can be skipped only on a processor with neither a Manager Licence nor a User App Licence: with the User App Licence, users and touch screens need the locations. Until the steps are complete, Administrators see a Setup incomplete banner with a link back here.
Until it has been set up, Centro System Manager for Crestron opens the same steps as a wizard when an Administrator first signs in.
The steps are described in Setup wizard.
Clock
The page also carries the Clock card. Schedules, logs and the trial all go by the processor's clock.
| Line | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Time on the processor | The time now, with Looks right or Needs a look. |
| Time zone | The zone's name and offset, with the processor's own time zone setting. |
| Time server (SNTP) | On with the server's name, or Off. |
Refresh reads the clock again.
The time zone and time server are the processor's own, shared by every program on it and by Crestron Home. You change them on the processor, not in Centro System Manager for Crestron.
A clock that is wrong dates the trial and the processor's certificates wrongly, and runs schedules at the wrong time. If the card says the time server is off, or that no server is set, turn SNTP on in the processor's settings and check the processor can reach its time server.
A schedule can run in a time zone of its own. See Schedules.
